Proving it is the slab
The supply system is isolated and the hot and cold sides pressure tested separately. Many suspected slab leaks turn out to be a drain line, an irrigation lateral or water tracking in from outside.
A supply line under concrete leaks quietly and expensively. Denver Urgent Plumber confirms the leak is really under the slab, pinpoints it and shows you the repair choices before any concrete is cut.
Not every Denver home has a slab underfoot, but plenty of them have one somewhere: a basement floor with supply lines routed beneath it, a garden-level or walkout level, a slab-on-grade addition, an attached garage, or a newer south-metro home built without a basement. Expansive bentonite clay along the Front Range swells and shrinks with moisture and can heave a basement slab, which puts stress on anything running through or under it.

Slab work is where guessing gets expensive, so the locate comes first and the repair method is chosen afterward.

Acoustic listening and line tracing narrow the leak to a small area of floor so the opening is as small as the job allows.
A single accessible failure can be opened and repaired in place. Repeated pinholes along one run usually justify rerouting the line overhead or through a wall instead.
The quote should say who patches the concrete, what happens to the flooring on top and how the area gets dried before it is closed up.
Ask what the plumber found on the other side of the house as well. A line that has already failed once under concrete often has company, and knowing that changes whether you repair the spot or reroute the run.
If you are not sure the water is under the floor at all, start with leak detection. A visible break above ground belongs on the burst pipe repair page, and a leak from the tank itself is covered in the repair versus replacement guide.
Slab-level homes are common in newer south-metro subdivisions such as Highlands Ranch; see every community on the service areas page.
The locate, the access, the repair method and the floor restoration are separate pieces, and the mix is different in every house. A single spot repair under an unfinished basement floor is a different job from a reroute under finished flooring. Denver Urgent Plumber prices the locate first and the repair once the leak is found. Start by describing what you noticed.
No, but it is worth taking seriously. A warm patch with nothing above it usually means the hot side has failed, since hot lines corrode faster. Radiant floor heating, a nearby duct or a water heater on the other side of the wall can also explain it, which is why the leak gets confirmed before concrete is touched.
One clean failure in an accessible spot is usually repaired. A line that has leaked more than once, or pipe that is corroding along its length, tends to be rerouted so the next pinhole does not mean another hole in the floor. Ask for both options in writing, the same way the comparison guide suggests.
Often yes, but it depends where the water is going. If it is surfacing through the floor or soaking a finished area, shut the main and use the water only when you need it. Denver Urgent Plumber can tell you on the phone which one you have; the service process explains what happens next.
Tell us what the water is doing right now and we will plan the visit around it.
